About CivicHires

Practical decision support for the work behind federal contracting.

CivicHires helps federal contractors evaluate contract opportunities and prepare for the staffing implications of delivery before pursuit effort and delivery commitments expand.

Our purpose

Bring more structure to a consequential decision.

Federal opportunities can require a serious investment of time, internal coordination, and delivery planning. CivicHires is built to help teams assess the decision in front of them with a clearer view of fit, requirements, risks, and staffing signals.

The work is decision support, not a substitute for your team's procurement judgment. CivicHires does not promise an award, write a proposal in place of your team, or guarantee candidate availability. The objective is a more grounded next conversation before effort accelerates.

Founder background

Thirty-five years on the other side of the table.

Carl Beckett · Founder of CivicHires

Before founding CivicHires, Carl Beckett dedicated 35 years to government service on the side of the table that wrote the solicitations, directed and managed the evaluation process, and decided which companies were awarded the work.

Across domestic and international assignments, his career centered on the full lifecycle of a contract solicitation: evaluating scope of work submissions, managing RFI and RFP processes from the buyer's perspective, and assessing whether private companies could deliver what they proposed. He guided vendors through background and vetting requirements, and finalized contracts once the awards were made—experience spanning both federal and state procurement.

Carl has read proposals the way evaluators read them: checking capability claims against reality, watching for gaps between what a company promises and what it can staff, and knowing which weaknesses sink an otherwise competitive submission. He has seen why strong companies lose pursuits they should have won—and why others commit resources to opportunities they were never positioned to win.

CivicHires brings that evaluator's perspective to businesses evaluating public-sector work: a grounded read on fit, risks, information gaps, and delivery or staffing signals before the team decides what to do next.
